MALMIJAL is currently available for Microsoft Windows.

The software is developed using a Windows-based application framework and is optimized for Windows environments used in engineering and data analysis workflows.

At this time, MALMIJAL does not provide native versions for macOS or Linux.

Users on those platforms may still run the software through a Windows environment such as virtualization or a remote Windows system.

Yes. MALMIJAL can be used in universities, research labs, and classroom environments.

For educational use, an academic license is available at a reduced price (USD $199). This option is intended for students, instructors, and researchers who want to use MALMIJAL for learning, teaching, or academic projects.

In classroom settings, instructors may also provide a shared login so that students can access the software during lectures or laboratory sessions. This allows an entire class to quickly access MALMIJAL without requiring individual account distribution.

If your university or department plans to use MALMIJAL for a larger course or multiple classes, please contact us to discuss suitable licensing options.

Yes.

Organizations that plan to use MALMIJAL across a team or department do not always need to purchase a separate license for every individual user.

Depending on the usage pattern, a shared access setup can allow multiple users within the same organization to access the software when needed.

This is often suitable for engineering teams, research groups, or departments where different members may use the software at different times.

If your organization is planning to provide access for a larger group (for example 20–50 users), please contact us and we can help arrange the most appropriate licensing option.

MALMIJAL accounts are generally intended for a single user.

However, concurrent logins are technically possible and may be used in certain situations such as classroom demonstrations, workshops, or training sessions.

For example, an instructor may provide a shared login so that students can access the software simultaneously during a class.

For regular organizational use, we recommend assigning individual accounts to each user.

If you need a customized configuration for educational or institutional use, please contact us.

MALMIJAL requires an internet connection for sign-in and license verification.

When you start the software and log in with your account, MALMIJAL securely connects to the licensing server to validate your session. This ensures proper license management and secure access to the software.

However, once you are signed in, MALMIJAL can tolerate short interruptions in internet connectivity.

If the internet connection is temporarily lost, the software continues running for a short period using a secure session lease. By default, this period is set to approximately 10 minutes, which is sufficient to handle most temporary network disruptions such as unstable Wi-Fi connections or brief internet outages.

During this time, you can continue working normally — including building signal processing models, analyzing data, and generating plots.

Once the internet connection is restored, MALMIJAL automatically reconnects and resumes normal license verification.

For more details about temporary offline usage, see:
Can I use MALMIJAL offline?

If your organization requires longer offline operation due to restricted networks or controlled environments, please contact us to discuss possible configuration options.

MALMIJAL is primarily a desktop application.

The software is installed locally on your computer and performs all signal processing, data analysis, and visualization directly on your machine. This means your data and computations remain local, allowing high performance and efficient handling of large datasets.

However, MALMIJAL uses a cloud-based licensing system for user authentication and session management.

When you sign in, the software briefly connects to the licensing server to verify your account and start a secure session. Once the session is established, most of the software functionality runs locally on your computer.

This hybrid approach combines the advantages of both models:

  • Desktop performance for signal processing and large data analysis

  • Cloud-based authentication for secure and flexible license management

Unlike fully cloud-based tools that run entirely in a web browser, MALMIJAL does not require your data to be uploaded to the cloud. All analysis and processing are performed locally on your system.

For details about internet connectivity requirements, see:
Does MALMIJAL require an internet connection?

Yes. MALMIJAL can continue running for a limited time even if the internet connection is temporarily unavailable.

When you sign in, the software obtains a secure session from the licensing server.
If the connection is later interrupted, MALMIJAL automatically enters a temporary offline mode and allows you to continue working without interruption.

By default, this offline period is set to approximately 10 minutes, which is sufficient to handle most short network disruptions such as unstable Wi-Fi connections or brief internet outages.

During this period, you can continue to analyze signals, build models, and work with your data normally.

Once the internet connection is restored, MALMIJAL automatically reconnects and resumes normal license verification.

This design ensures both a smooth user experience and secure license management.

Need a longer offline period?

In some environments—such as restricted corporate networks, laboratory setups, or controlled systems—longer offline operation may be required.

If your organization needs an extended offline session time, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

We can provide configuration options tailored to specific use cases.
